Nick Dametto, State Member for Hinchinbrook

• Nick has been in parliament this week with the State Budget the main focus
• Attending Education, Employment and Small Business committee commitments
• Attended the Parliamentary Christian Fellowship Breakfast
• Conducted several post-budget interviews on how Hinchinbrook electorate fared
• Attended Israel's 70th Anniversary event @ Parliament House hosted by Curtis Pitt
• Meeting with Ministers to discuss constituent issues
• Attending the Community Crime Prevention Day in Townsville on Saturday

Robbie Katter, State Member for Traeger

• This past week has been largely focused on the dissecting of the 2018/19 Queensland State Budget, which has again under-delivered for Traeger and for rural and regional Queensland. In amongst Budget talks Robbie has also attended a number of meetings with government representatives on issues relevant to his electorate.
• Robbie and his KAP colleagues Member for Hill Shane Knuth and Member for Hinchinbrook Nick Dametto announced their “He Said, She Said,” legislation this week, designed to protect everyday people from persecution and punishment for using gender-based language. The Bill will be introduced  into Parliament as early as September to provide protection for people who use gender specific terms such as ‘he’ or ‘she’ and face punishment from their workplace, school or university.
• Robbie has also been working this week, alongside his colleagues, to push a proposal to cut payroll taxes for regional Queensland businesses to help drive local employment growth.
