  • Held several constituent meetings to discuss various state-related issues throughout the week.
  • Highlighted the immense benefits of creating a biofuel industry in North Queensland in the Townsville Bulletin last Saturday.
  • Criticised a recent planned burn of Hinchinbrook Island by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service in last Saturday’s Innisfail Advocate.
  • Attended an Education, Employment and Small Business Committee public briefing hearing in Brisbane on Wednesday.
  • Expressed concern about a crocodile sighted within the stinger net at Forrest Beach in an online article in the Townsville Bulletin on Wednesday.
  • Called for action from the State Government to address Ingham’s bat problem after the emergency helicopter was delayed from landing at Ingham Hospital last Wednesday night, featured in a photo with Forrest Beach State School Students at last year’s Youth Parliament and talked up the benefits of creating a biofuel industry in the North in Wednesday’s Herbert River express.
  • Spoke about the immense benefits of creating a biofuel industry in North Queensland in Wednesday’s Innisfail Advocate.
  • Featured on Sky News on Thursday talking about the immense benefits of creating a biofuel industry in North Queensland with Queensland Renewable Fuels Association managing director Larissa Rose.
  • Said Townsville  could not rely solely on coalmining and needed to rebuilt its tourism industry in an Article in Thursday’s The Australian newspaper.
  • Spoke out in support of the introduction of harness racing in Friday’s Townsville Bulletin.
