Community Funds Now Open

With tough times had in recent years, a cash injection into local communities and their societies, associations, clubs or alike may be just what many need. As 2022 gets underway there are many grant applications that are currently open and taking applications to assist with these trying times. Listed below are grants that may be beneficial to those in our communities.

 

Queensland Government’s Investing in Queensland Women grant programs

  • Provides one-off grants for one-off events and projects that address the unique issues faced by women and girls
  • Aimed to support community groups and organisations across Queensland to develop and deliver events and/or projects that align with the Queensland Government’s strategic priorities
  • Funding of up to $15,000 (excluding GST) is available for initiatives with a duration of up to 6 months that align with the purpose of the grant programs. Grant rounds will be released twice a year, with a total allocation of $270,000 in funds (excluding GST) per round.

Lowitja Institute Seeding Grants 2022

  • Aiming to support innovative community-led research into Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander health and wellbeing. Giving organisations the opportunity to transform their ideas by putting research back into community hands.
  • The Seeding Grant invites applications that align with research agenda themes, including empowerment, sovereignty, connectedness and cultural safety and respectful systems.
  • Grants of up to $35,000 to small and medium Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and business are up for offer
  • The Seeding Grants are the first step to express interest in the 2022 Lowitja Institute Grand Funding Round

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF)

  • Funding allocated to not-for-profit community groups, helping them provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities.
  • There are 4 rounds in 2022, with round one being a super round, offering grants of up to $100,000.

Culture, Heritage and Arts Regional Tourism (CHART) Program

  • Aiming to support community cultural, heritage and art organisations in regional Australia as they recover from the impacts of COVID-19
  • Applications close 29 April 2022

Mount Isa Community Grants

  • Open to local community groups and organisations with eligible projects or events which make positive contributions to the quality of life in the local government area of Mount Isa City
  • Applications for round 2 close March 1 2022

Mount Isa City Council Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)

  • There are 6 categories of funding available including, developing regional skills, building community cultural capacity, cultural tourism, contemporary collections/stories, regional partnerships, and young people.
